Collaborating on Promotion

Collaboration in marketing is essential. The Love for Lilies marketing collective, consisting of 70 Dutch growers, supplies lilies to the Royal FloraHolland auction. With their campaign “Not grown to be subtle,” they show that the lily is the champagne of flowers. They spread their message among traders in the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France—with such a wide assortment, you’d be crazy not to choose lilies!

Love for Lilies does everything it can to make things easy for the trade. In addition to supplying a reliable, high-quality product, they provide wholesalers and florists with excellent visual materials, promotional materials, product presentations, and comprehensive product information.

Our goal is to draw more attention to the lily—though, to be honest, this flower naturally commands all the attention. Every year, new varieties are registered, each more beautiful than the last. Modesty isn’t the lily’s strong suit. Everything about this flower makes an impression—the shape, the size, the color, the scent. The lily makes itself heard loud and clear!

Love for Lilies showcases lilies from a new perspective, with unique colors and fresh combinations. The lily is a natural luxury that fits perfectly with current trends. A flower to make a statement with, a flower that sparkles with energy. What’s more, our growers offer lilies for every budget. That makes them simply irresistible!

FrequentlyAsked Questions

Does Lily have different scent notes?

The diversity of lilies is overwhelming. So many scents to choose from! For example, Orientals and Oriental Trumpets (OT) offer a very wide range of scents: from virtually scentless or lightly scented to room-filling. Because double lilies are descended from Orientals, they share the same characteristic light to strong scent. If you’re looking for soft, sweet scents, you should choose the Longiflorum and Longiflorum Oriental (LO) product groups.

Are there lilies available without stamens?

All lilies have stamens, but the double-flowered varieties produce very little pollen.

I'm looking for scentless lilies. Which varieties are those?

Longiflorum Asiatic & Asiatic (LA & A) lilies are virtually scentless. They are the perfect choice for customers who aren't fond of the scent of lilies.

What advice do I give my clients on removing pollen stains?

Stay calm! Don’t do this: don’t rub or wet it. Instead, take some tape and remove the pollen (powder) with the sticky side.

Who is participating in the "Love for Lilies" promotional campaign?

All Dutch growers support promotional activities. The promotional group Love for Lilies consists of the 70 Dutch growers who supply their lilies to the Royal FloraHolland auction.
